2025 EWA General assembly in Copenhagen
The 2025 EWA General Assembly in Copenhagen marked a change in leadership of the association
We warmly welcomed Dr. Harald Scherleitner ( CSO of Fronius) , as the new EWA President, succeeding Emil Schubert. We also congratulate Frederic Lanz (CEO of Kemper), Luigi Frasson ( CEO of INE ) ,Gregory Doria ( Senior Vice President of Lincoln electric) as EWA Vice Presidents to be part of the management team
A special thank you to Robert Stöckl, former President, who joined his last meeting before retirement
We’re also excited to welcome two new members to the EWA community: CEBORA S.p.A. and AERSERVICE Equipments Srl – we’re looking forward to shaping the future of welding together

- Vivek Patel (Högskolan Väst) shared insights on friction stir welding in automotive and aerospace.
- Ingo Schramm (IPG Photonics) gave a forward-looking talk on handheld laser solutions in Europe.
